buyer's Guide

Whether you are looking to purchase your first home, upgrade or downsize, here are some helpful tips home buyers can rely on.

Buying a home can be one of the biggest decisions of your life. From planning to searching for that special dream home, buying a home can be a complex ordeal. That’s why it's important to work with a knowledgeable Realtor® who can guide you through the entire process. They don’t call realtors matchmakers for no reason, that’s why I’m here to introduce you to houses until you find the one you love! Whether you are looking to purchase your first home, upgrade or downsize, here are some tips home buyers can rely on:

Start Saving Early
Future homeowners must work towards saving for a down payment, the amount of money you put towards the purchase of a home - which is minimum 5%, preferably 20%. Your lender deducts the down payment from the purchase price of your home, and your mortgage covers the rest of the price of the home.

Meet With a Realtor®
It’s crucial to work with a Realtor® you feel comfortable with. Whether buying or selling a home, you can trust that your Realtor® will ensure the transaction is completed competently and professionally. Count on a Realtor® to be committed to serving with integrity, and who can deliver reliable knowledge about your local housing market.

Set Expectations for Your Dream Home
It’s important to set realistic expectations for what you are looking for in a dream home. Here are some important factors to consider: real estate value, location, affordability, size, employment opportunities, climate, education system, and proximity to family/friends. I would suggest putting this in writing and creating a needs versus wants list.

Searching for Your Dream Home
Looking for your dream home is easier than ever using my handy, easy-to-use Map Search. Set the type of property you are looking for, price range, followed by the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and browse through the results. If you are looking for something that’s not showing up on the Map Search, contact me and so I can find the property for you!

Negotiating & Closing
Sit back, relax and let your Realtor® will take it from here. Once I have negotiated an offer with the seller, I will be sure to conduct a home inspection and deal with any repairs that may need to get done. Once completed, we will finalize your mortgage with your lender, then you’re ready to sign off on ownership, which typically takes place in a lawyer’s office.

Finding The Right Home For You

Once you've been pre-qualified and know what price range you want to stay in, I can help you determine which properties fit your needs by using the MLS® (Multiple Listing Service®) system to locate them.

I have the best possible resources available to help you locate homes on the market that match your needs. You can even search available listings directly on my website using Map Search.

Home evaluation

find the value of your home

Learning the value of your home is a couple clicks away! Let me help you find your homes worth by providing me with some key insights. I will run a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA), which will allow me to find the value of your property on the current real estate market.

Through the CMA, I will evaluate the prices of properties similar to yours that have recently sold in your area. This analysis will give a better understanding of your property's market value.

All it takes is a few quick minutes to complete. The more information provided, the better. I will contact you as soon as I have the results.
